ATS Resume Examples (2026) — 17+ Role-Specific, Tested Resumes

Real ATS-tested resume examples for engineering, healthcare, marketing, finance, design, and more — each with the keywords and bullet structures that survive every major parser.

What an ATS example actually proves

An ATS example should show three things: the exact keywords ranking for that role, a parser-safe layout, and quantified bullets that hold up on the human read. Examples that only show pretty layouts without ATS context aren't useful — they're decoration, not instruction.

How to read an example

Don't read for words to copy. Read for structure: how many bullets per role, how every bullet starts with a verb, how each bullet contains at least one number, how the keywords show up inside bullets and not just in a Skills dump at the bottom. Once you internalize the shape, your own bullets will write faster and rank better.

Categories covered

Resumeva publishes role-specific ATS examples across:

  • Engineering — software engineer, DevOps, AWS solutions architect, cybersecurity, QA engineer
  • Healthcare — registered nurse (RN, BSN, NP), allied health roles
  • Data — data analyst, data scientist, data engineer
  • Business — project manager, product manager, product owner, scrum master, business analyst
  • Customer-facing — sales, customer success, customer service, account manager
  • Operations — executive assistant, HR manager, accountant, financial analyst
  • Marketing & Design — marketing manager, UX designer, graphic designer, content marketer

What every example includes

Every example on the site is built to the same checklist:

  • Single-column layout that parses cleanly in Greenhouse, Lever, and Workday
  • Standard section headings in the order parsers expect
  • 5–8 bullets per role, each with a verb start and at least one number
  • Keywords pulled from 10 real JDs for the same role
  • Skills block grouped by domain, not alphabetized
  • Tested for >85% match against a representative JD before publishing

How to use an example

Read the example for structure and phrasing — not content. Recruiters and ATS systems both penalize obvious copy-paste, and several modern engines flag near-duplicate resumes inside the same applicant pool. Use the example as a template: keep the shape, swap in your own measurable outcomes, and tailor keywords to your specific target JD.

Industry-specific tips

A few patterns that differ across industries:

  • Engineering: list tools per role, not just in a global Skills block — proves you actually used them at that specific job.
  • Healthcare: certifications belong above the Experience section because recruiters filter on them first.
  • Sales: every bullet should have a number — quota %, deal size, growth rate, ramp time.
  • Design: link to a portfolio in the header; the resume covers process and shipped work, the portfolio shows craft.
  • Marketing: separate channel ownership (paid, lifecycle, content) clearly inside each role.

Bullets vs paragraphs

Always bullets. ATS parsers split bullet lists into structured arrays; they treat paragraphs as one giant blob and most scoring engines weight blob-text lower. Recruiters also skim bullets 3× faster than paragraphs on the first pass.

Length: one page or two?

Under 10 years of experience: one page. 10+ years: two pages is fine. ATS systems don't penalize length, but the human reader scans the top of page one and then decides whether to keep going. The top half of page one is where the best bullets and the most relevant keywords belong, regardless of total length.

Before vs after

Real rewrites that move the ATS score and make recruiters keep reading.

Before — Software Engineer bullet

Worked on backend services and APIs.

After

Designed and shipped a Go-based payment-retry service handling 12B events/year on AWS (SQS + Lambda); reduced failed-charge revenue loss by $4.2M annually.

Same job. Same person. The 'after' version ranks for Go, AWS, SQS, Lambda, and payment retry — and proves impact.

Before — Project Manager bullet

Managed a cross-functional team to deliver projects on time.

After

Led 9-person cross-functional team (engineering, design, RevOps) on quarterly OKRs using Jira + ClickUp; delivered 11/12 committed initiatives on time across 3 quarters.

Before — Data Analyst bullet

Built dashboards in Tableau for the sales team.

After

Built sales pipeline dashboard in Tableau on top of Snowflake views (1.4B rows); reduced weekly forecast meeting from 90m → 22m and improved forecast accuracy from 78% → 91%.

FAQs

Where can I see real ATS-tested resume examples?

Resumeva publishes 17+ ATS-tested examples by role — software engineer, nurse, project manager, data analyst, cybersecurity, and more — each with the keywords and bullet structures that pass parsers.

Are these examples free to use?

Yes. Every example is paired with a free template you can edit and export to PDF.

What makes an example 'ATS-tested'?

Each example was scored through an ATS parser and exceeds 85% on keyword match and 100% on format parsability before publishing.

Can I copy an example directly?

No — examples illustrate structure and phrasing. Recruiters spot copy-paste and modern ATS engines flag near-duplicates. Use the example as a frame and write your own measurable outcomes.

Do you have examples for non-US resumes?

Most examples follow US convention. EU/UK CVs follow similar ATS rules — single column, standard headings — with the addition of optional date of birth and nationality where local convention expects it.

How often are examples updated?

Each example is re-scored quarterly against the current top 10 JDs for that role, and any keywords that have dropped out of the JD pool are removed.

Can I export an example as a starting template?

Yes. Every example links to a matching template you can clone, then replace with your own bullets and skills.
