This notice explains how Resumeva LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares (“processes”) your personal information when you use our services (“Services”), including visiting resumeva.com or engaging with us in sales, marketing, or events. What Data Do We Collect?

Information You Provide

We collect personal information when you register, show interest in our Services, or contact us. This may include:

  • Phone number

  • Authentication information handled through the account sign-in service
  • Contact preferences
  • Billing details
  • Payment and transaction records; payment-card processing is handled by Stripe
  • Employment and education history

Sensitive Data

Resume and support content can contain personal or sensitive information that you choose to provide. Do not include information that is unnecessary for creating your resume or resolving your request.

Payment Information

Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Third-party sign-in

If you use a third-party sign-in option shown on the account screen, that provider may share account information needed to authenticate you.

Accuracy

You must ensure the information you provide is correct and up to date.

Automatically Collected Data

When using our Services, we collect:
  • Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, language, referral URLs, and usage logs
  • Log Data: Technical diagnostics, error reports, and interactions with the platform
  • Approximate country: Our hosting or edge provider may add a country code inferred from the network request. Resumeva uses this header to suggest an interface language and, when optional analytics are allowed, to understand traffic by country. Resumeva does not ask your browser or device for precise GPS location.

We also use cookies and tracking technologies to enhance user experience and security.

When and With Whom Do We Share Data?

We share data only when necessary with:

  • Service providers used for hosting, authentication, payments, email delivery, AI features, support, security, and analytics
  • Business partners (during mergers, acquisitions, or restructures)

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Anonymous CV Analyzer and OpenAI

The public CV Analyzer sends extracted resume text to OpenAI so it can generate the explanatory feedback shown with Resumeva's score. If you submit a resume photo or another supported image, that image is also sent to OpenAI to extract its text before the text is analyzed. The anonymous analyzer does not save the upload or result to a Resumeva account. Do not submit information you do not want processed by Resumeva and OpenAI.

Review invitations

When the review-invitation service is configured, Resumeva may provide our independent review platform (REVIEWS.io) with the customer's name, email address, and a transaction reference so it can send a review invitation. Resume files and resume content are not included in that invitation request.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (pixels, local storage, and SDKs) to keep the Services running, remember your preferences, analyze how the Services are used, and deliver relevant advertising. The policy summary above notes that we use cookies to personalize experiences, analyze trends, and serve advertisements, with Google Analytics helping us track site usage.

Categories of browser tools we use

  • Strictly necessary: required for core functionality such as signing in, loading pages securely, and remembering your session. These cannot be turned off in our Services.
  • Preferences: remember choices like language, region, and UI settings so you don't have to set them again.
  • Analytics & performance: help us understand how visitors use the Services so we can improve them.
  • Advertising: used to measure campaign performance and show more relevant ads on third-party sites.

Optional third-party tools we use

  • Google Analytics — measures site traffic, page views, and aggregate usage trends. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Non-essential analytics and advertising stay off unless you allow optional tools through our privacy-choice dialog.

How to control cookies

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Services from working correctly.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in the US or other countries with appropriate safeguards, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Section 07

Data Retention

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purposes below, unless a longer period is required for law, accounting, fraud prevention, security, or a dispute.

Account and resume content

Kept while your account is active so you can edit and retrieve your work. Account deletion removes account and resume content from active systems, subject to limited legal, security, and backup exceptions.

Billing and transaction records

Kept as needed to administer purchases, handle disputes, prevent fraud, and meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored as full card numbers by Resumeva.

Support requests and attachments

Support messages and request records are kept as needed to investigate and document the request. Uploaded support files receive a deletion deadline 30 days after the request is created, or 30 days after it is closed when a closure date is recorded. A protected cleanup job removes files after that deadline; a failed deletion remains queued for retry.

Published reviews

Kept while publication consent remains in place or while needed to manage the review. Reviewers can remove their review through the available account or review-management controls, or request help from support.

Analytics, diagnostics, and security records

Kept only as long as reasonably needed to understand product use, diagnose problems, protect the Services, and investigate abuse. Optional analytics are collected only after the visitor allows them.

Security Measures

We implement security protocols, but no online system is entirely risk-free. Users should take precautions to protect their data.

Section 09

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If detected, such data is deleted.

Your Privacy Rights

We currently do not respond to browser-based DNT signals due to the absence of a standardized approach.
